How to fix a short temper as a Mom.
How do you fix a short temper as a mom? The yelling, the anger, the short fuse… we have all been there as mamas. I write this with experience because I know exactly how it feels to be worn out looking for solutions. Maybe you are too, trying to find yet another way to discipline your child to fix the environment in your home. I want to say something that needs to be said, especially in this culture we have today. The environment in your home is up to you!
Losing our temper on our children reveals who we are, not who they are.

Your children are not the problem. Pride is.
When you admit this to yourself and to the Lord, and repent of this pride, your days will get better! Blaming our children for our lack of self-control is never the answer mama. I can say this because I used to tell myself the same thing. Holy Spirit showed me that I was the problem, not my children. That although, yes, it can get crazy around here some days with all the activity in the house, if I am not walking with the Lord and in the Spirit, I will fail every single time. Our children were born into this world as sinners, let’s not forget that.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7
Power, love, self-discipline. If you are truly born again, these are for you friend! Having a hot temper means we lack self-control or self-discipline. Walk in the Spirit daily, repent of your pride and die to your flesh and watch transformation happen!

If you don’t already have this, the You Version Bible app is a great resource for on the go. Just download it to your mobile iPhone or Android device. What I love about this app is switching through the different translations during my study time without having a ton of physical bibles laying around. (Note: I am always a fan of the physical books, but this also is great to have!)
