When you admit this to yourself and to the Lord, and repent of this pride, your days will get better!

Blaming our children for our lack of self-control is never the answer mama.

I can say this because I used to tell myself the same thing.

Holy Spirit showed me that I was the problem, not my children.

That although, yes, it can get crazy around here some days with all the activity in the house ( hello 24/7 sahm and homeschooling) , if I am not walking with the Lord and in the Spirit, my “temper” fuse is way shorter. Our children were born into this world as sinners just as we were, let’s not forget that. Give them the same grace as God has given you.

2 Timothy 1:7

Power, love and self-discipline. If you are truly born again, these are for you friend! Having a hot temper means we lack self-control or self-discipline. Walk in the Spirit daily, repent of your pride and die to your flesh and watch transformation happen!

One of the most powerful ways you can fight your temper is through prayer.

Lots and lots of prayer.

Ask the Lord to give you wisdom and resources to combat what you are going through. Is it post-partum hormones, lack of good sleep and nutrition? What is the root?

IF it is Pride you need to of course repent and leave that at His feet but if your temper is because of something off in your physical body, you will need His wisdom to get through that as well.

Start off by seeing if you are blame shifting, repent of that pride. Then in prayer, ask God to show you what this is, and how to rid it from your life.

Then ask Him to identify areas in your physical life, even mental that need changed. Is it that you are too busy going and not enough rest, too many things going on in your life that you need to let go of? Sleep, time for yourself as a mother? There are so many things that can make your emotions worse.

I PROMISE He will lead you and show you because I am now on the other side of this.

Have I arrived? Of course not, I still lose my temper at times but man has it gotten so much better and now I know that I am at fault, not the kiddos, and forgiveness comes easy!

Don’t let the enemy trap you into guilt and shame. We are HUMAN. We will FAIL. What we do with the failure part is what matters.

Always repent, turn to God, and apologize to your children when you snap. You got this!!!
