How to grow in Your walk with Christ as a busy Mom.
Ready to grow in your walk with Christ as a busy mom? Being a mom myself, I know exactly how it feels to stay busy from sun up to sun down. It can be hard to get a quiet moment with the Lord for prayer or to study His word. I learned a long time ago though, that those quiet still moments that I once had, are absent in this season of mothering littles. That to get time with God, may involve spending that with my children and bringing them in for that experience. After all, they need to know what that looks like.

I want to encourage you and give you practical ways you can implement time with God with your children and a few tips on getting that quiet time you long for. First, I want to show you what Paul says in 2 Timothy:
God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by it’s instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
We need the word of God for empowerment, strength, and direction so we can grow and mature! Pushing it aside because we don’t have time to “read” will lead us into stagnation. Be careful of that.
Action Plan for busy Moms to Grow in Christ.
What I love to do, is read through scripture with my children after breakfast. Now, we homeschool so this is apart of our lesson time, but I have received plenty of revelations from God in doing so. It’s awesome to see what Holy Spirit brings into conversation through your children!
Another way is by having a Praise Break in your day. We do these as well, by turning on a worship playlist and just spending time thanking our Heavenly Father. The kids love to jam out to their favorite tunes and it helps get the wiggles out as well! (Yes, our kids dance in worship and they know that it is to be taken seriously. King David danced too, ok!)
Now, for the secret place time that you don’t get to access anymore. I want to ask you a question. What are your priorities? Are you sleeping in instead of waking for time with God in quiet? When your children nap, are you spending time with the Lord over binge watching a show or working on a task of less importance? These things matter. As busy as I am, and we have a little one sleeping with us, I can always find time in the secret place.
Yes, it looks different in this season, but I have to make time. Not because of a have to attitude but because I want to. I have to abide in Him daily or my days can get filled with a fleshly attitude.
Are you too busy?
Making the time to be in the word and in prayer is a choice you must make for yourself. I hope this encouraged you and helped you see that it is possible, no matter what ages your children are. Walk in the Spirit mama and stay empowered by the word of God. We mothers need all the strength and empowerment we can get from our Father.
Can I pray for you?
I highly recommend reaching out to your Senior Pastor for any issues you may be walking through for counseling. If you are alone and don’t have anyone else, please feel free to reach out if you want someone to come along side you and pray for breakthrough. Your information stays confidential.

If you don’t already have this, the You Version Bible app is a great resource for on the go. Just download it to your mobile iPhone or Android device. What I love about this app is switching through the different translations during my study time without having a ton of physical bibles laying around. (Note: I am always a fan of the physical books, but this also is great to have!)
